You do not need to believe in Reiki for it to work.
Of
particular importance is the Gokai or Reiki precepts. I personally see
these as a way to live through righteous conduct. Much in the same way
as the Yamas and Nyamas of Yoga, The Śīla of Buddhism, The Ten commandments of Christianity or the foundational principles of all spiritual practice, to develop virtuous behavior, morality, ethics or precept. They provide a way to focus on self development and bring a realisation that we all belong to the same source.
It
